Please help me find a US (Washington DC) phone number

Hello.

I've received several wrongly addressed parcels/letters from someone in Washington DC. Today I got one with the sender's name and address. So, I have all their (postal) details, but I suspect they've just left a digit off of the house number.

What I'd like to do is call them up and get the right details, and re-deliver the post.

I've tried all the Directory  websites I can think of, but so far I've drawn a blank (one had a number, but I had to pay $19.95 to access it... I don't think so!). So I wondered, can someone (in the US) help me find their phone number? - If you think you can help me, PM me for the senders details.

Ta

  1. If it's from a Mr O'Bama at 160 Pennsylvania Avenue, be careful.

  2. This one has always worked well for me (though usually I'm doing a reverse search, findign the occupants for a given address or phone number):

If their phone is listed, there's always Verizon:

And always try Google - if it's in a directory service, it will be Googled.

  6. ...Erm, have you tried contacting the CIA's dead letter drop office? (Those parcels aren't ticking or leaking any white powdery substances, are they?)

Actually, it seems like a stretch, but I wonder if the local London US Embassy might not be willing to advise you or make contact on your behalf. If you decide to give it a try, here's their website info:

I would approach the Special Consular Services Unit as a logical starting point. Good luck!

  7. The person seems to be unlisted - I've tried directory assistance for D.C. and they can't find the name on the street. I'd be happy to send the person a letter on your behalf if you like.

  8. Okay, it's been at least 10 days since the second letter - I haven't heard anything and from your silence I'm guessing you haven't either. Should I try one more time? Maybe we can make a YouTube video of you holding the parcels hostage and send her a link...

All of your efforts to put the mail into the right hands have been much appreciated by my family! I think we've all corrected our address books too. :)

  17. So...How much did you get for the ransom after all? And is Paul likely to be extradited for his complicity?
