Altruistic motoring to prevent jams?

  1. So that's the jerk who I always get stuck behind. (kidding. sort of.)

I would always do the "absorbing traffic waves" thing when commuting west on 520. My zen solution to a happier commute was to change jobs and both live and work in the city (my office was in the scene right at the end).

  3. Here, I'd appreciate less gear changes, and stop-starts... But seeing as most people in the US (AFAIK) use automatic rather than manual gearboxes, I'd have thought that he'd be providing less of a service... Oh, and plus the angree motorists behind you in the US are often armed

  4. "single drivers can have a huge effect"
Well, I'm a married driver, so that means I don't have to bother with any of this altruism nonsense.

I wonder if people have now timed their commutes to synchroise with this guy?

  5. I think Mercedes are bringing out a service which suggests an optimal speed to be driving between lights... so be prepared to be even more hacked-off by Merx drivers in future
