  1. I've been to 2 or 3 of these, including Lanhydrock - where I also have a training course in a couple of weeks time. I'll try and get some photos...

  2. Cool - might have been to Woburn on a school trip, but the others are new to me.

  3. As a 10 year old, [jonthegeologist]'s cousin sent a threatening letter to Tring museum (number 3 in the list), threatening to blow it up. Some kind of childish jape. However, being a well brought up young man (fake bomb threats aside), he put his address on the top of the letter. I suspect the police that came round were trying quite hard not to laugh at his rubbishness in the fake terrorism field. Amusingly he now works for the Government in a top-secret role and has to disclose this to his boss at every single one of his tri-annual security checks.

  4. Coming from a Scouting family, Brownsea Island was a given (and very lovely it is too), but I've only "got" about two others from the list.
    Good find.

    (I still haven't sussed the current headshot)

  5. Stand back... No... a little farther... nope, back a bit more...

    Close the door, which should now be in front of you...

    There, that's better, isn't it?

    Close one eye

    Stand on one leg
    {Read these before closing the door}

  6. I quite like the new avatar, [-+/ ]. Perhaps I should attempt something similarly "OP-Artic". (And who is AWOL to talk about avatars, anyway? He's into the wormwood.)
