That's really sad - I loved Vision On and Take Hart - I have always been inspired by the animations he made for Vision On (where his drawings and paintings were filmed from underneath - at least, I think that's how he did it - you could see the image growing and changing before your eyes).
It started a certain Nick Park (Morph)! It was only great TV {I was listening to the Danny Baker show earlier, and he played a clip of that "Mad Professor's" music - The one when he'd draw a dinosaur on a park using a big line-painting machine, and animate it! - }

Dang! Talk about great minds thinking alike! (It took me that long to find the right clip - and it still wann't the one I thought of!)
