Between the winning photo of the Old Man of Storr and the imposing and desolate image of Rannoch Moor one really senses that this was the true landscape meant to be associated with Middle Earth and LOTR. Striking!
I was personally most attracted to the B&W photo of the storm clearing above Westminster Palace.
It's been a while since I was up on Rannoch Moor - but that photo depicts it as I remember it: beautifully bleak and a walk away from a warm and cosy fireplace (Kingshouse Hotel, off the A82).
