I just heard both these on today's BBC news

First I heard this:

NHS money 'wasted' on homeopathy

I must say, I don't believe in homeopathy... And I think the government should make them share the 1p funding... BUT, then I heard

Peanut allergies tackled in largest ever trial //They will be given daily doses of peanut flour, starting at about one milligram, added to yoghurt. // OK... teeny-tiny doses help cure people of peanut allergies...

  1. What about lactose-intolerant sufferers?

1 mg of yoghurt in a gluten-free peanut butter sandwich?

  2. a little is a whole lot more than nothing...

these treatments to desensitise allergies mystify me - some people cannot be in the same room with their allergen.

  3. On a flight home from holiday a couple of years ago, we were told that no peanuts would be served because there was a sufferer aboard.
    That's bad.
