The company that makes the sort of rising road block you see at places like Downing St (hi Bob!) used to tour the security exhibitions with footage of their test crashes. One showed a flat-bed truck (I guess 3 to 5tonnes) with a big JATO pack mounted on the back. The truck was guided along a rail between the wheels towards the block. It hit, and the cab and flatbed simply sheared off the chassis, which stopped dead behind the barrier.
Meep meep!
